Precision Machining Division
HNL Precision Machining, a division of HNL Engineering Ltd, specialise in the manufacture of high quality precision components.
HNL has been producing high quality components since 1966 and has operated a formal quality system since 1983. This system was accredited to BS 5750 Part 1 in 1989 and has latterly been upgraded to ISO 9001:2000.
Based in Teesside, HNL is equipped with both state of the art CNC and conventional machines thereby allowing for a flexible approach to your requirements. A capacity list is provided on the rear of this leaflet.
Commonly supplied materials are stainless steel and aluminium but a wide variety of ferrous, non-ferrous and exotic materials may also be supplied.
HNL specialise in small to medium batch sizes but will undertake one-off special projects and high volume batch production runs to suit your requirements.
As part of the HNL Engineering group, a full range of support facilities may also be supplied to enhance our precision machining. These include:-
• Traceability - all manufacturing is covered by the registered ISO 9001:2000 Quality Assurance system that will provide for material traceability and certification if required.
• CAD - work is undertaken using AutoCad LT: 2006.
• Design capability - experience in excess of forty years of in-house design capability associated with precision components and complete instrumentation products and systems is available.
• Assembly facilities - the Instruments & Controls Division can offer facilities which should provide for any assembly requirements you may have.
• Specialist welding - a specialist micro-tig welding machine is available in-house to provide the facility of fine welding of circular sections up to 140mm Ø. This facility is particularly suitable for welding thin section material.
• Painting - in-house facilities are available to provide stoved enamel painting but other paint finishes may be provided to meet your requirements.
• Anodising and Plating - available via current suppliers to our other Divisions.
